2021 budgeted paving projects underway for Big Valley, Carbon

Residents in the Village of Big Valley and the Village of Carbon can expect some minor road closures as road work gets underway in both villages.
A total of six sections of road will be repaired in Big Valley, while the Village of Carbon will see three roads repaired.
Big Valley council awarded Horseshoe Paving with the tender at the Thursday, July 22 council meeting, where a total of three bids were received; the village allotted a total of $210,000 for paving projects this year within the 2021 budget.
Grindstone Paving was awarded the tender for the Village of Carbon’s paving project. They completed paving and road repair work on Thursday, August 12 along Aberdeen Avenue and Hillside Avenue, with work anticipated to continue this week along Caradoc Avenue.

Additional road closures and paving dates are expected to be announced on the Village of Carbon Facebook page.
