Hanna RCMP respond to fatal motorcycle collision

On Sunday, August 15 at 5:43 p.m., Hanna RCMP were called to a single motorcycle collision on Highway 9 near Richdale, Alberta. Hanna Fire Department and EMS were also dispatched to the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was travelling east on Highway 9 when it veered off the highway, entered the ditch and rolled several times.
The 62-year-old lone operator of the motorcycle from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the collision.
The office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ordered an autopsy to be completed.
The investigation into the collision is continuing. No further updates are anticipated.
