Firefighters respond to Wintering Hills Colony blaze

Firefighters from around the region responded to a structure fire at the Wintering Hills Colony late Sunday night, December 20, at about 10 p.m. About 20 trucks from area departments including Hussar, Dalum, Rockyford, Standard, and Rosebud responded to the blaze at a carpentry/mechanical shop on the property. The fire quickly spread through the attic destroying the building. Members of the Drumheller Fire Department responded with its new Quint Aerial Platform Ladder/Pumper Truck. There were no reports of injuries.
