Red Rose Campaign raises awareness of family violence

IMG 9867

November is Family Violence Prevention Month in Alberta, and the Big Country Anti-Violence Association (BCAVA) and volunteers marked the occasion with the annual Red Rose Campaign. On Tuesday afternoon, November 3, they hit the street delivering roses to businesses in the area to raise awareness of domestic violence. Once again, the campaign was supported by sponsors Home-Town Realty, which provided a donation to purchase the flowers from Freson Bros. At the presentation are (l-r) Kelly Boyko, Janelle Storch, Susan Kolenz, and Joe Castonguay of Home-Town Realty presenting to president of BCAVA, Kandance Wylie-Toews, Kristi Murphy of BCAVA,  Joanne Geldart of Grace House, Cora Bolt of BCAVA, and Deanne Walker of the Town of Drumheller.
