Two men were arrested and charged in Calgary following the theft of a vehicle from a Drumheller business.
On Jan. 23, the Southern Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) discovered a break and enter and theft of a vehicle that had occurred during the night at a local business in Drumheller.
As a result of further investigation, the Southern Alberta District RCMP CRU team was able to locate the stolen vehicle in Calgary a few hours later and both occupants were arrested without incident.
Richard Patrick Bixby was charged with break and enter to commit theft and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Bixby was released on an undertaking with conditions to appear in Drumheller provincial court on Feb. 28,
Brodie Joseph Gallant was charged with break and enter to commit theft, possession of stolen property and fail to comply with conditions.
Following a judicial hearing, Gallant was remanded in custody to appear in Drumheller Provincial Court on Feb. 14, 2020.
