The two Drumheller Minor Hockey Atom Raptor teams hosted the annual Chamont Memorial Tournament and both had podium finishes.
The three-day tournament started on Friday, November 15 at Drumheller Memorial Arena and they invited teams from Lacombe, Red Deer, Strathmore, Medicine Hat, and Taber.
The Drumheller Canalta Atom Raptors made its way to the B Final on Sunday against Taber and won their gold with a score of 3-0.
The Yavis Atom Raptors also made it to the A Final, this time to face Lacombe. The Raptors found themselves trailing, but were able to rally in the third period, and with just over two minutes left, pulled the score to 6-5. It was as close as they could get and the Raptors earned the silver medal.
