Drumheller and its mayor were in the spotlight earlier this month when Heather Colberg was invited for a televised interview on Alberta Primetime.
The interview with anchor Michael Higgins, which aired August 2, saw Mayor Colberg discussing topics such as flood mitigation funding, the struggling oil and gas industry here, provincial politics, and local economics.
Mayor Colberg said show producers were looking to speak to a mayor from southern Alberta and she was honoured they asked.
“I said I would love to speak about the valley, it’s one of my favourite topics,” she said.
