The athletic abilities and accomplishments of the students at St. Anthony’s School were celebrated on Monday, June 3.
The school hosted its annual Awards Banquet and presentations. This is to celebrate the accomplishments of the student-athletes who worked hard all season at their respective sports. There were 38 athletes from all disciplines awarded with MVP, Sabre, and Saint awards.
The student-athletes also had the opportunity to hear from guest speaker Jessica O’Connell. From Calgary, O’Connell is a 5k specialist and has the fifth fastest time in Canadian history. She also holds the record for the indoor 3000m.
She has competed in the World Championships, the Pan Am Games, Commonwealth Games, and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
