The town is inviting you to help make every day Earth Day in Drumheller with their 20/20 Challenge this month.
The challenge is simple: grab a garbage bag and spend 20 minutes for 20 days starting April 1 picking up garbage around your community. The aim is to have Drumheller clean by Earth Day on April 22.
Mayor Heather Colberg previously organized the annual Earth Day cleanups in town but decided for this year to try and create something more effective and longer lasting.
“If people go out and clean up for 20 days maybe they’ll keep doing it and continue to keep our community clean. It takes 21 days to make a habit, so let’s make it a habit,” she said.
People can take a photo and post it on Twitter and Instagram with the tag #20/20Drumheller to help spread the word and make the challenge visible.
