Pair facing drug, firearm charges postpone bail hearing

Two people charged with a number of firearm offenses and possession of drugs made brief court appearances in provincial court in Drumheller on Friday, September 28.

Victor Foley of Big Valley and  Jaime Ryan of Drumheller were arrested on September 25. RCMP stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense and seized three firearms, drugs and ammunition.

Each is facing two charges of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition and six counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle and two counts of possession of drugs. Foley is facing driving while suspended charges and Ryan is charged with failing to comply with release conditions.

Both elected to put their bail hearings over until Friday, October 19.
