Drumheller’s RCMP long-time serving staff sergeant will be leaving to a new post in Airdrie.

S/Sgt Kevin Charles has taken a position as the district advisory non-commissioned officer for the Southern Alberta District of the RCMP.

“After almost nine years of calling Drumheller home, we will be relocating to the Airdrie area, once our Drumheller house sells,” he said in a release. “It has been a pleasure working with you all.”

A search is currently underway for a new staff sergeant for the Drumheller RCMP, with Corporal Gerald Sherk remaining the acting detachment commander.
