A motorcycle stolen from Red Deer was recovered after the driver crashed on Highway 36 and Township Road 33-0 Thursday, June 7.
When emergency response teams arrived on scene the driver had already fled, the investigation revealing that a passing motorist gave the driver a ride to Hanna to what they believed was his place of residence.
The suspect is described as being 6’ tall, thin build, short brown hair, having a scruffy beard with a patch of hair under his lower lip, wearing jeans and a jacket. The suspect was bleeding from one of his legs in the shin area.
The suspect took a helmet from the scene, but a face shield was found at the scene and is believed to have come from the helmet. Also found at the scene was a multi-colored beaded key ring and grey ‘Syncrude’ baseball hat.
Hanna RCMP is requesting anyone who can identify the driver or these items to contact the Hanna detachment. They also warn individuals not to approach or pursue the suspect and instead contact the RCMP.
