The annual Battle of the Sexes is back and the women have the jump out of the starting block, leading the men in the first few days of competition.
The annual event is a great way to have fun and get a little exercise in the pool and in the gym.
From February 1 to February 14, the competition takes place in the pool. Simply log your lengths when you head to the pool. Participants must swim a minimum of two lengths up to a maximum of 700.
After that, the competition goes to the Badlands Community Facility. From February 15 to February 28, participants must complete a minimum seven laps (equaling 1km) of the running track, to a maximum of 350 laps, or 50km on the running track, or the cardio equipment of your choice.
Participants who achieve and track the minimum distance will be entered into a draw for a combined Aquaplex and Badlands Community Facility pass. The name drawn from the winning sex will win a three-month pass, while the name drawn from the losing sex will win one month pass.
You can watch the results in real time on www.dinosaurvalley.com/battle-of-the-sexes-challenge. The results will be updated daily. As of Monday, February 5, the women were leading with 250 lengths, to the men’s 120.
