Top marks for town facility operator

Jason Rafter

A Town of Drumheller facility operator received top marks and was honoured by the Alberta Association of Recreation Facility Personnel (AARFP). Each year the AARFP honours one student from each of their certificate courses with a Top Mark Award.  This Award was given out at the AARFP Annual Conference and Awards Banquet on April 25, at River Cree (near Edmonton). The award includes a free Conference Registration, a commemorative plaque and a cheque for $250. In 2016, 72 operators throughout Alberta attended the Building Maintenance 2 course. Of those, nine received 100% on their exam. As a tie breaker, each operator had to submit an essay on what they learned and what they could take back to their community. Jason Rafter, Facility Operator from the Town of Drumheller, was the winner.
