Members of the Calgary Balloon Club ran into a bit of trouble during their Saturday morning flight in and around Drumheller. At least two of the balloons lost lift and with no wind to carry them, came down to earth, one in the Jiffy Lube parking on the south Highway 9, and one in the Drum Co-op parking lot, within seconds of each other.
"It's not the first time", one smiling balloonist told the Mail, "and we'll be out of here in a few minutes".
The club enjoys the valley with all the scenery, and usually, they have good luck with weather for their sport, to the delight of locals, and children.
There were no injuries resulting from the incident.
