The Drumheller Library Society wants to mark Canada’s 150th birthday by giving everyone in Drumheller a Library card for the year.
That is the goal of the Society’s Evening at the Library, coming up this Saturday night at the Drumheller Public Library.
This is the second gala event for the Library. It is held every two years. The evening features music, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Local businesses and individuals have been supportive with donations of great silent auction items as well as a few special live auction items.
The Library Society functions to support the Drumheller Public Library and over the years has purchased items and equipment for the library as well as support it many programs.
The focus of the funds raised from the event is to provide a free one-year membership starting July 1 to all residents.
An Evening at the Library goes this Saturday, March 11 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are available at the Library or from board members.
