The Spring Sport, Recreation and Art Expo is coming, showcasing all kinds of activities available in the community.
The Expo is on March 8 at the Badlands Community facility. Kim Masson, program coordinator at the Badlands Community Facility says so far about 17 exhibitors, and counting, have signed up.
“The fall one is typically bigger but we have some interesting ones,” she said.
She says what is making this year’s event unique is the are some new and different exhibitors. Along with expected sports such as baseball or soccer, she says there are exhibits for netball and roller derby for example. There is also everything from piano lessons and the Drumheller Royal Ball. Three will also be demos.
On display will also be the offerings from the town at the Badlands Community Facility and the Aquaplex. This is everything from badminton to paint and wine nights.
“Everything will be upcoming programs with us that you can register for that day,” she said.
Masson said the expo is a valuable event for residents to see what is offered.
“It is a great way to see what is all happening in your community, there registration going on. It is also an opportunity to see new things people are doing in the community.
The expo goes on March 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. and is free to attend.
