Delia School recently started their second semester with a School Spirit Week planned by the Student’s Union. The week was full of themes and activities to motivate students and staff.
Jersey Day on Tuesday, January 31 was the kick off for Spirit Week, followed by Tropical Day on Wednesday, February 1.
Thursday, February 2, school staff cooked pancakes, sausage, hash browns, and served fruit for the entire school, bus drivers, and community members as part of PJ and Pancake Breakfast Day.
The week ended with Friday, February 3 as Hillbilly day.
Delia’s next event will be the Heart and Stroke Foundation Jump Rope Event. Students have already enjoyed a short presentation by the Heart and Stroke Foundation and students will be participating in jumping rope on Friday, February 17. The event is held to bring awareness to the importance of keeping their hearts healthy and to raise funds for the foundation. In the past, the school has consistently raised approximately $3,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation through this event. This year the school has set their goal at $3,500.
