Celebrate Family Literacy Day

Photo press summer

Drumheller Family Literacy is celebrating family time together with JUNO nominated performer Mary Lambert.
Drumheller Family Literacy is on the front line of promoting literacy from birth to age 17. It supports programs such as Circle Rhyme Time, Power of Four, Badlands Building Blocks, Outside the Book and Homework… Help! This Saturday, January 28, they are marking Family Literacy Day with a free concert at the Badlands Community Facility. They encourage participants to come to a Pajama Party. Bring your teddy bears and blankies for some fun, music, activities and refreshments.
This is a national awareness day focusing on the importance of reading and engaging in literacy related activities as a family. It was created by ABC Family Literacy Canada in 1999.
Mary Lambert is an Alberta based musician and children’s entertainer. She has been nominated for two JUNO Awards.
The event runs from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
