The legacy of the World’s Largest Dinosaur continues to give back to the community with two area groups receiving legacy grants.
The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce distributed two grants totaling $6,000 on Thursday, October 20 at its general meeting.
The Midlandvale Community Hall is the recipient of a $3,000 grant for its roofing project. The association was busy with the project when a fire broke out on October 4. The grant award preceded the fire.

The Drumheller Minor Soccer Association was presented a grant for $3,000 for the club’s new shelter and benches at the soccer field, in addition to a media sign/centre.

The World’s Largest Dinosaur invests a portion of the funds generated through the World’s Largest Dinosaur attraction and giftshop to enhance community economic development initiatives in the region.
To date, the World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund has contributed more than $590,000 to community projects.
The next application deadline for projects less that $3,000 is March 1, 2017.
