The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce is once again seeking nominations for their annual Business Excellence Awards.
These awards recognize outstanding businesses, groups, and individuals in our community. Awards will be given out in six categories: Diversity Leadership, Arts, Culture & Community, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Business Professional of the Year, and Most Promising New Business.
Nomination forms can be found at www.drumhellerchamber.com, or at the Chamber of Commerce. The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, September 9, 2016.
A new feature added to the selection process this year is online “fan voting”, which will be available from September 12-16 at www.drumhellerchamber.com. During this time the public will be able to vote on their choice to win the awards; these votes will be combined with scores given by the Business Excellence Awards Committee to determine the overall winners in each category. Finalists will be notified in late September, and the award winners will be announced at the Business Excellence Awards Gala on Thursday, October 20, at the Badlands Community Facility. Small Business Week is a national celebration held October 16-22.
