It’s only been two weeks now that Constable Jason Girard moved into Drumheller and began working at the detachment. Originally from Windsor, Ontario, his first posting was the Raymond-Magrath detachment in Southern Alberta. This detachment included the border entry south of Lethbridge that enters into Montana. Some of his responsibilities included patrolling for border runners and people with outstanding warrants.
Girard said, “I like the beautiful scenery of Drumheller and pro-police attitude of the citizens.” Girard has coached hockey and baseball at the junior level, and would like to be involved with the intramural sports.
“Joining the RCMP, is always an adventure.” shared Girard.
