Town names Darren Goldthorpe as manager, Recreation, Arts and Culture

The Town of Drumheller is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Darren Goldthorpe as the Manager of Recreation, Arts and Culture.
Mr. Goldthorpe brings with him over 17 years of experience within municipal recreation service and has an extensive background in the operations and programming of facilities including fieldhouses, arenas and aquatics programming. He also brings significant emergency management experience to the position having served over 15 years with the Town of High River.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to apply my experience in the Town of Drumheller – this is a great opportunity. We really like the community and look forward to being a big part of it,” says Goldthorpe.
This newly created position combines the day to day operations of the Badlands Community Facility with a big picture approach to community wide recreation, arts and culture – in line with the Town of Drumheller’s emphasis on providing outstanding programming to all of our users and community partners.
Mr. Goldthorpe commences his duties on March 21, 2016.
