It was a tough week for dinosaur statues as the large T-Rex at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 5th Street was demolished in the early morning hours of January 2 in a vehicle collision. Another small triceratops near the Ramada was damaged, also it appears by a vehicle. The iconic statues will certainly be missed, as reader Charlotte Rose pointed out a resident left flowers for the tuxedoed T-Rex.
