Constable Jonathan Foran impressed with welcome

RCMP Const. Theron

Drumheller welcomes RCMP Constable Jonathan Foran to the community. Foran says he has been receiving a lot of welcomes everywhere he goes.
Joining the RCMP was a family thing, as his father is a retired RCMP member, along with a couple of uncles.
Graduating from the RCMP Depot in Regina in September 2012, Foran’s first posting was in High Level, Alberta. Drumheller is his second posting.
He moved here in October but has managed to get out and see the town and the surrounding communities. He has already been to the Suspension Bridge, which reminds him of home, in Sussex, New Brunswick. High on the list to see next is the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Though not competitive in sports, his favorite hockey team is the Montreal Canadians.
He explains property crimes, break and enters to vehicles and homes, are some of the biggest concerns for the Drumheller RCMP. This November is all about pedestrian safety, and Foran confirmed that  failing to yield to pedestrians is set at a $700 fine and four demerits.
Foran hasn’t found out yet, which activities he will be participating in, as he is still learning what they (RCMP) do here.
He is currently  working on updating the school safe programs.
