Carbon Hall benefits from memory of Daryl Hay

hay.jpgDonations continue to pour in for the Carbon Community Centre in dedication to Daryl Hay.Daryl Hay passed away on Friday, March 27 in an avalanche while snowmobiling in Golden, BC. In a gesture fitting to his dedication to the community, the family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Carbon Community Centre for new chairs, a cause Hay truly believed in. More than 800 attended a celebration of his life at the Acme Community Centre on Friday, April 3, and many gave to the fund. Those who still wish to donate to the chair fund in memory of Hay, can drop their donation off at Good n’ Plenty Restaurant in Carbon on Bruce Avenue and Glengarry Street, or mail it to Box 176, Carbon AB, T0M 0L0.
