The Drumheller Dragons have made a trade with the Olds Grizzlys.

The Dragons have traded 18-year-old Tristan Thompson and 20-year-old Wyatt Noskey to the Olds Grizzlys for 19-year-old Ty Mappin.

Mappin has played two seasons with the Grizzlys, and in the 2014/15 season played 46 games with 18 goals, 35 assists for a total of 53 points.

Noskey, who played 60 games with the Dragons in the 2014/15 season, had 12 goals and 20 assists with 32 points.

Thompson played his first full season with the Dragons in 2014/15 and had nine goals, seven assists with 16 points in 55 games.

“We wish the best of luck to both Tristan and Wyatt. They have been a great part of the team,” head coach and general manager Brian Curran said.

“We made the trade because we felt that we needed a little more offensive boost for our team. Ty is obviously one of the most skilled players in the league and we hope to have two very successful years and get Ty and the team where it could go and we know that he will be a big part of that happening,” he said.
