After more than five years of leading the development of Hope College, President Jon Ohlhauser announced to the Hope College Board that he is stepping down from his role to pursue new opportunities.
“Dr. Ohlhauser has done an admirable job of taking the “idea” of a community college and bringing it to reality for our community. The residents of this area and the future students of Hope College will have much to be thankful for from this visionary leader,” Mr. Paul Andrew, Hope College Board Chair.
Hope College is positioned to embark on its third year of providing post-secondary programming to residents of Drumheller and the surrounding region in September 2015. As a community development project, Hope College strives to make a positive contribution to the overall improvement of Drumheller and the region of East Central Alberta.
“I am grateful to the community for allowing me the opportunity to serve in the capacity of President of Hope College and to have been a part of the historic launch of this strategic community initiative. Throughout life we are given opportunities to consider new and exciting experiences. Five years ago, that opportunity was given to me in an invitation to be President at Hope College. Now, I have been given an exciting opportunity to be engaged in the development of people in a new way and I am extremely excited about it! I will continue to reside in this region and as possible will make myself available to Hope College to help ensure its continued successful development,” sand Jon Ohlhauser.
