At about 3 p.m. Friday, July 3, Drumheller RCMP took Stanley Dick peacefully into custody.
Dick had Canada wide warrants for charges originating in Drumheller, Red Deer and Blackfalds. He is a parole violator and was considered armed and dangerous.
Information led Drumheller RCMP to a residence on 6th Ave East, Friday afternoon. The police had been at the same home on the afternoon of Saturday, June 13, and then in the early morning hours of June 29 seeking the individual.
Corporal Kevin Charles told The Mail that the RCMP established containment to the house and confirmed he was inside. They were able to open communications with Dick who then surrendered to police without incident.
“We’re happy that it’s all over and done with and he walked out peacefully,” said Charles.
