The Drumheller Dragons are back in the win column following a Friday night match-up at home against the North Division Whitecourt Wolverines.
Marcus Messier and Dakota Zaharichuk gave the Dragons a 2-0 lead by the end of the first period.
The Wolverines scored just over one minute into the second before the Dragons Wyatt Noskey scored his first of two for the evening making the score going into the third 3-1.
At 9:53 on the power play the Wolverines made it a one goal difference game, but the Dragons scored three unanswered goals, by Hunter Mills, Clint Filbrandt and Noskey’s second of the night which was short handed, making the final score 6-2.
The Dragons will now host the Calgary Mustangs Sunday afternoon at Memorial Arena.
