Voyage into history

st-anthonys-voyageurs-display-feb-2015

French Students as St. Anthony’s are spending February studying The Voyageurs, the French explorers who traversed across Canada and discovered and charted routes across the country, including into Alberta, in the 1650s. French students helped create this display at St. Anthony’s, which shows a canoe, the sash the explorers wore woven into the fence but in St. Anthony’s colours, and the beaver, which the First Nations traded with  the Voyaguers. Students who worked on the display include (l-r) Matthew Howard, Justin Sowerby, Dianne Estacio next to Madame Dubé, and Bailey Chung.
