On December 13, 2014, at approximately 8:45 pm, a multi vehicle collision occured on Hwy 9 an estimated 5km east of Hwy 21. The collision involved a semi truck and two other vehicles. The passenger of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at scene. The driver of the same vehicle was airlifted to Hospital in Calgary by STARS air ambulance and is currently in stable condition. Both are Calgary residents.The investigation is continuing, but weather is believed to be the main factor in the collision.The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
