Revelers at the Carbon Centennial this weekend will have some top-notch entertainment as CCMA Award nominee Aaron Lines will be taking the stage on Saturday night.
The Fort McMurray native has been active in the music industry since he was a teen. His debut album Love Changes Everything was released in 2001 on an independent label and he was nominated for Best New Country Artist/Group at the 2002 Juno Awards. He also received a CCMA nomination for Best New Artist in 2002.
He signed to RCA in 2003 and released his second album Living Out Loud. Two singles charted in the US, and he received six CCMA nominations. He won Male Artist of the Year and the Rising Star Award.
Lines now has five albums under his belt including the 2010 release Sunday Afternoon.
The ‘Cheaper to Keep Her’ singer will be the featured entertainment on Saturday evening at the All Star Stage outdoor concert. Zanzee Band will be opening.
This is not the only music during the Centennial celebration. On Friday night Rob Hudec will be bringing his brand of blues and rock. Thoz Guys Classic Rock will also be on stage.
Individual tickets or passes for both nights are available at the Carbon Village office. Saturday night’s performance will be followed by a fireworks display.
