Two Morrin students are getting a helping hand from Mountain View Credit Union. Kory Bremer and Julie Primrose both received $1000 to put towards post secondary education.
The two were among 13 recipients. In total, Mountain View handed out $13,500 in scholarships. Recipients were chosen from the 11 communities served by Mountain View to help the students attend college or university this fall.
The students were chosen based on a number of criteria, including academic results, leadership, and volunteerism. The scholarships are awarded annually.
“Supporting the communities we serve is a key value of our organizations,” said Bob Marshall, president and CEO of Mountain View Credit Union. “We are proud to support these young adults who not only excel academically, but have also demonstrated their community involvement as well.”
Bremer and Primrose were not the only ones from the area awarded, Teesah Parker from Carbon received the scholarship as well.
