A new face is joining The Drumheller Mail news team this summer. Donella Swan, a student from Mount Royal University, will be spending the summer in Drumheller on a work internship from school.
Swan just finished her second year of a four year journalism program. It was while attending grade school in Strathmore she discovered her passion for writing, which eventually lead her to pursue a career in journalism.
In her spare time, Swan coaches figure skating at the West Hillhurst Community Facility in Calgary. She has been figure skating herself since she was five years old and feels good exercise keeps the mind sharp.
Swan is excited to be working for the community of Drumheller.
