Two Calgary residents have been arrested after a traffic stop lead to the seizure of a sizable cache of marijuana.
On Tuesday morning, a vehicle was stopped as a result of a traffic violation on Highway 9. Subsequent to the initial stop the officer seized approximately 15lbs of marihuana. A 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were held in custody Tuesday pending a judicial review.
It is expected the two subjects will be charged with possession of marihuana for the purposes of trafficking.
