Christ the Redeemer School division is hoping to announce a contractor for St. Anthony’s School soon.

inSide Drumheller reported in its November 26, 2010 edition the school division parted ways with the contractor selected to build the new St. Anthony’s School on North Dinosaur Trail. Since then,  they have been working with the bonding company to hire a contractor to complete the job.  Michael O’Brien, superintendent for Christ the Redeemer  said the announcement is imminent.
“I should know any day,” said O’Brien. “The school board is third party to this, so we are pressing them for an answer.”
O'Brien said throughout this process in taking inventory of the progress of the construction that was already completed, they are on the tail end of the construction.
“They felt the construction company could get on site quickly and relatively quickly get the job complete,” said O’Brien.
Ground was broken on the project in March of 2009 and is valued at approximately $13.5 million. Gibbs Gage Architects designed the new school.
