Lisette

July 29, 1934 - November 28, 2018

Lisette De Nil was born in Antwerp (Belgium) on July 29, 1934. She grew up with her mum and aunt and uncle through the war years after her father died at the beginning of WWII. Later, a young soldier, in the Canadian Army, Gordon Ford, was posted to Belgium in 1950, where they met and later married. For many years they travelled happily back and forth to Canada, Germany and Belgium with their daughter Linda. After making many good friends in Europe, they finally decided to retire in Drumheller in 1993. They spent many happy years together. Daughter Linda and her husband Jeff, married and settled in Antwerp. Lisette passed away November 28, 2018 after a brave battle with cancer. With appreciation to all family members who helped my mother through her illness. A special thank you to Dr. Olfert, all Continuing Care staff and Charlotte Chernoff.
