TRENTHAM
Murray Alan

January 14, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Murray Alan Trentham of Morrin, AB, beloved brother of Dick (Marg) Trentham and Laura (Mike) Jarvis who passed away peacefully on January 14, 2019 at the age of 68 years. Murray was the son of the late Harold and Audrey Trentham of Morrin, AB. He spent his entire 68 years living on the family farm. His passion in his youth was his horses and he enjoyed working with the cattle, sheep and his chickens. He spent 29 years producing and delivering eggs to local customers, many of whom became his lifelong friends. He travelled with some of his friends and neighbours throughout the years to Expo 86, Disneyland and Eastern Canada to name a few. He also went on several camping trips with his cousin Dave Trentham where they managed to get into all sorts of shenanigans. He was the equipment manager and water man for the Morrin Giants ball team for several years, a job he was very proud to do and enjoyed very much. He was also a member of the Morrin Lions Club from January 1995 until his passing. He received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for dedication to Humanitarian Service, which is an award presented by Lions International and named after the Lions founder. He enjoyed multiple hours playing cards and pool at the Seniors Drop in Centre in Morrin, and he loved attending and helping at Pizza Night in Rowley. Likely his most valued times were spent with his 7 nephews and nieces, Cory (Dwayne), Shantel, Michelle (Dennis), Brad (Robin), Richard (Nicole), Audrey (Justin) & Vicki (Dallis) watching them grow up and attending hockey games and practices, as well as any other events they were involved in. He also leaves to mourn 12 great nephews and nieces, Caitlyn, (Andy) Matthew, (Marinna), Nevin, Nolia, Emerson, Surray, Liam, Rhett, Jace, Blake, Cole and Nola. A memorial service was held at the Morrin Community Hall January 21, 2019. With Pastor Skip MacArthur officiating. If desired donations may be made in Murray’s memory to the Morrin Lions Club or charity of your choice. Courtney-Winters Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

WILL
Dora

June 26, 1947 – January 13, 2019

Dora Will was born June 26, 1947, in Vulcan, Alberta, and passed away January 13, 2019. She is survived by her husband Gordon; son Ryan (Kelly); son Michael (Adrienne); daughter Erin (Patrick); and her very precious granddaughter Josephine. She will also be missed by her brothers John, Barry (Helen), and David; and her niece and nephews. Dora embraced everything life had to offer. She loved music and was known to burst into song without provocation. She was always open to new adventures, whether it was camping in the backcountry of Banff or trekking to see Machu Pichu. Dora had a voracious appetite for crossword puzzles and could often be found with a cat on her lap and a pencil in hand, working on two or three puzzles simultaneously. Dora found her passion and calling as a teacher. She possessed the unique skill of instilling in others a love of learning and encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Nothing filled her with more joy than learning of the accomplishments of her former students. A celebration of Dora’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Strathmore Travelodge (350 Ridge Road, Strathmore). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests you consider making a donation to your local food bank.
