Lori Lyn Schwan passed away peacefully on October 18 2019 at the age of 55 after a whirlwind battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Candice (Wyatt) and Brian (Sarah), her brother Brent (Tarah), her extended friends and family, as well as her beloved pets Ryder and Squeak.
The family welcomes friends and family to attend a celebration of life held at the Cretaceous Conference Center in Drumheller on Saturday, October 26 from 2 - 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Drumheller Humane Society.

Ray William Raketti passed away in the Drumheller Hospital October 17, 2019 at the age of 86. Ray was born October 13, 1933 in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan to Sanfrey and Mamie Raketti. In December 1947, due to poor crop conditions, they moved to Sylvan Lake area of Alberta with 3 children. In 1955, Ray moved to Drumheller to join his family.
Ray worked mainly in local coal mines for 6 years. In May 1963 he was hired by the City of Drumheller. He worked for over 30 years as a heavy machine operator.
At the age of 40 he met his wife Darlene Jones (Zern). They married in 1974 and Ray became stepfather to Starr, Gail and Sandra Jones. Glenda Rae was born January 1976. The family purchased an acreage in 1983 where they were still residing.
Besides his loving wife Darlene, Ray is survived by children Glenda Raketti (Rob Grootarz), Grandchildren Addy and Amelia of Aurora, Ontario; Sandra Jones (John Russell), Grandchild Justin Morgan (Jolene and Marissa Andrus) and Great Grandchild Jack Morgan of Drumheller, Alberta; Gail Jones (Brent Aagaard), of Drumheller, Alberta; Starr (Ken) Zaychuk, Grandchildren Kelly Memme of Calgary, Alberta; Joey Memme of Lethbridge, Alberta; a son Kelly (Jackie) of Kelowna, British Columbia; and their children.
Ray is also survived by his Sisters Darlene (Bill) Harwood of Nanaimo, British Columbia; Doris (Terry) Avramenko of Calgary, Alberta; and Brother Jerry Raketti of Drumheller, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Ray was predeceased by his Parents Sanfrey Andrew and Mamie Julia Raketti and Grandchild John Charles Morgan all of Drumheller, Alberta.
Memorial Services, officiated by Pastor Brent Rushinka, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24th, 2019, at Drumheller First Alliance Church, 670 - 7 Ave E, Drumheller, Alberta. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Ray.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Drumheller Health Care Center, Red Deer Regional Hospital, and all the very professional ambulance attendants that transported us.

Gerald William Riehl of Drumheller, Alberta, beloved husband of Karen Riehl, passed away suddenly but peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at the age of 72.
Jerry was born in Edmonton and raised on a farm in the Leduc area. After coming to Drumheller he met and married his wife, Karen, on June 14th, 1975. They started their family in 1978, raising all 5 children in the Drumheller Valley.
Jerry was known as a hard and industrious worker and spent many years operating heavy equipment. Everyone who met and knew him, loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen and his 5 children Andrew (Sharlie), Conrad (Robin), Kristen (Justin), Aaron (Kayleigh), Melody (Tyler), and his 4 grandchildren, Roman, Everleigh, and Harlow Riehl and Emerson Nickel. And 2 sisters Sharon Bendixen and Nora (Dennis) Pasko.
There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Drumheller Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 207-17 Street NW, Drumheller. Luncheon to follow at Canalta Jurassic Hotel Conference Room.
