On Tuesday, November 12 2019, Soren Lassen Nielsen passed away peacefully at the Drumheller Health Centre at 95 years old. He leaves to mourn son, Eric, his wife Sherri, their children Owen, Reed, Spencer and Leeza of Drumheller; son, Melvin, his wife Wendy, their children Brad and Steven of Hussar; sister Frida and husband Keith of Calgary along with two sisters still in Denmark. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Denmark. Soren was predeceased by his loving wife, Cecilia of 59 years, brother Carl of Calgary and sister Magda Agerskov of Cluny. Funeral services were held at Our Saviours Community Lutheran Church in Hussar, Alberta on Monday, November 18th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Dan Hendrickson officiating. Interment was held in Bassano Cemetery. In memory of Soren, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Drumheller Health Foundation for Memorial Garden Bench, 351 – 9th Street N.W., Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y1.

Judy was born on Sept. 1, 1949 and lost her battle with cancer on Nov. 14, 2019. She was the only daughter of Gar and Hazel
Bowerman of Tisdale, SK. She married Ed Palm 49 years ago and moved to the Drumheller area in 1972. They had 3 children, Jeff (Tracy) Palm of Burns Lake, BC, Jana (Dave) Palm-Rienks of Red Deer, AB, and Jenell Aaron) Coutts of Barrhead, AB. She had 8 grandchildren, one on-the-way and 2 step-grandchildren.
Judy was highly involved in the community through the Alliance Church, After 5 Club, and The Passion Play.
She will be especially remembered as the Bathroom Coordinator with the toilet bowl earrings, enhancing the experience for all the ladies.
Everyone who knew her had a unique story of how she personally impacted their lives. 

She most recently worked at Freson Bros., Palm Engineering and her guest house The Palm Oasis.
She expressed heartfelt thanks to the many nurses and Dr. Liknes at the Drumheller Hospital for their kind and loving care. Also to all her friends who encouraged, visited and helped her with her meals.
She was beloved by all who met her and will be immensely missed.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce on November 2, 2019 that Helen passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Helen was predeceased by her husband Gregory, her parents Francis and Annie; and her best friend and sister Leeanne. She is survived by her three children: Brett, Rebecca (Steven) and Allison (Phil); her grandchildren: Isobel, Sarah and Jamie; furry friend Espin; her siblings: Jeannette (Bob deceased), Shirlee (Stan), Marjorie, Kathy, Jim (Val), Judy (Lynn), Richard (Carol), Annette, Donna (Dawn), Denise (Bo); seven sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law and many Bonertz and Windle nieces and nephews.
Helen grew up on the family farm in Twin Butte and enjoyed many adventures with both her Mother and her siblings. Once they moved to Pincher Creek, she met Greg and married in 1972. The adventures continued as her family grew and the love she had for her children and grandchildren was unmatched.
Helen retired from nursing with Bethany Care Centre after 20+ years of service and made friends with all her patients through her sassy remarks, jokes, killer laugh and smile.
Her ashes will be laid to rest with her mother and sister in Pincher Creek, Alberta. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 1101 Main St E, Pincher Creek AB at 1:00 p.m. Donations can be made in Helen’s memory to a charity of your own choice.
