EDWORTHY
June Elfrieda
(Brandenburg)

April 14, 1939 - February 6, 2020

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our precious mom, June Elfrieda Edworthy (Brandenburg) who passed away on February 6th, 2020. Frieda was born April 14, 1939 to Erna and Rudolph Brandenburg in Wayne and raised in Rosedale, Alberta. Frieda was the second oldest of 5.
Mom led a life of integrity and kindness with a warm hand and heart. Her whole life she put others first. Frieda married Jack in 1966 and they moved from Calgary to reside in Edmonton to raise their children Melany and Heath. Mom ran her successful business Elfrieda Enterprises at home so she could be at home to raise us. Frieda was a dedicated daughter, friend, wife, sister, mom and Grandma. Mom loved to spoil her grandchildren! Mom was always there to help, to listen, and to support anyone in need. Frieda, alongside Jack, was involved with many South Edmonton Rotary functions throughout their married life. She always had time for her bridge club and her neighbors, her friends and of course, her family. She loved her crosswords, listening to CBC and perhaps the odd trip to the casino. Frieda was predeceased by her brother Sonny and her husband Jack. Mom just had a relaxing vacation to her happy place, San Diego, getting some shopping in and came home and fell ill and tragically succumbed to a stroke. Frieda will be incredibly missed by her family and her many friends.
WE LOVE YOU MOM! There will be no service per Frieda’s request. Please donate to the charity of your choice in her honour. We would like to thank the nurses and staff on Unit 51 at the Grey Nuns in keeping our mom comfortable.
