Clifford (Cliff) Durrant Johnson passed away on March 20th, 2020 at the age of 91. Cliff was born in Didsbury on December 20th, 1928 and resided in Drumheller for 50 years. He is survived by his brother John, his children Larry (Rini), Donald (Moira), Karen (Christiane); his grandchildren, Laura, Daniel (Angie), Evelyne, Jesse and his great-grandson Parker. Cliff was predeceased by his parents Elnora & Bryan, wife Marion, brothers Clayton and Clive and his grandson Christopher (Adam).
His early years were spent as a mechanic and self-employed radio & TV technician. Later he became a school teacher and taught various subjects for many years at DCHS. Cliff had greater ambitions and eventually learned computer programming and used his skills to write programs for a number of businesses around the province. He truly was a jack of all trades and showed great aptitude for the construction or repair of almost anything.
Cliff was a volunteer firefighter many years ago and enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially gardening. He built and operated Ham Radios and connected with people from all over the world. Cliff was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing cards and reading. He was also known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor.
Because of the COVID-19 mass gathering restrictions there will be no funeral.

Dorothy Evelyn Solberg (Emmerson) died on the morning of April 02, 2020, at the age of 87 in the Hanna Hospital.
Dorothy was born to Lance and Ruby Rowat of Sedalia, Alta. and was raised on a farm with her four sisters Ada, Versa, Bernice and Audrey. She had a love of life, family and friends, and would go out of her way to help someone else. She loved gardening, the outdoors, animals, and was quite the artist making numerous oil paintings, and lead pencil drawings.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents Lance and Ruby Rowat, sisters Ada (Herman) Sherman, Versa (Ron) Brackman, Bernice (Ben) Sherman, Audrey (Allan) Vaile, nephew Darcy Vaile, nephew Buz Brackman, nephew Danny Sherman.
She is survived by her loving husband Stan Solberg, her son Dave (Elena) Halstead, daughter Wendy (Ray) Girletz, son Michael (Sharon) Emmerson, son Arol Solberg, daughter Kjelli (Jim) Held, son Monty (Deb) Solberg, son Shawn (Paula) Solberg, son Gary Umari (Donna Westerby). She is also survived by her grandchildren Caryn-rae (Kevin), Arlyn (Stacey), Wyatt (Leslie), Ryley (Kendra), Brandon, Logan, Spencer (Kray), Kacy, Matthew (Rachael), Leeann, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorial tributes may be directed to the Ladies Auxiliary of Hanna Hospital, Box 23, Hanna, Alberta, T0J 1P0.
A service will be held at a later date for close family and friends when it is safe to do so.

Mike completed his 93 year journey, passing at Drumheller Hospital. He was born in Petna, Poland, and immigrated to Canada with his mother and two older brothers to join his father in Rosedale. He lived and worked all his life in the Drumheller Valley. Mike started his working life at Rosedale Coal Mine at age 16. His main career of 30 years was with ALCB (liquor store). After retiring, he enjoyed combining for Tyler and Randy James.
Mike liked RVing throughout western Canada, wintering in Yuma, AZ twice. Mike loved camping, boating and short drives in the country. He enjoyed looking after his family property in Rosedale; his passion was his 71 years of golf.
Mike is survived by his wife, Judy, of 63 years, daughter Tracy, and son Michael, also many in-laws, nieces and nephews, and his close childhood friend of 85 years, Bill (Ann) Webster. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Pete (Clara), and Bill (Eva).
A celebration of life will take place at a future date.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Mike’s name can be made to Drumheller Area Health Foundation.
