ENGEN
Cody Bradley

April 26, 1996 - August 21, 2021

It is with great sorrow and sadness we have to say we lost our sweet baby boy Cody at the age of 25. Our son was a sweet caring young man who loved his family. Cody liked to cook, he was very good, and would always take the time to make meals for his family. Cody was born and raised in Drumheller where as a little guy, he loved playing with his Tonka trucks in the dirt pile, running around with the biggest smile on his face. He loved to play hockey, and did from age 5-17 before graduating from DVSS. Cody always had a gentle heart, he was sweet and sensitive, and had a special bond with our pets. Cody is sadly going to be missed by his parents, Bradley and Deborah of Drumheller, and siblings Rachel and Brady. Cody was predeceased by Grandpa Clarence Engen and Grandma Pearl Watson.
He was loved by his Grandparents, Jim/Dale Watson, Grandma Eileen Engen, aunts/uncles Cindy Trottier, Mary/Lloyd Hodge, Keelan Brereton, Derek/Wendy Watson, Derek/Debbie Engen and Dana/Tim Zarowny, and many cousins. Cody is at peace now; he will forever be in our hearts. A private family service will be held once Rachel can return from Australia. No flowers please but rather if preferred, donate to a mental health/addiction organization in honour of our son, and so many who struggle.

Leonard Howard (Len)

January 11, 1959 - August 2, 2021

On August 2nd, Leonard Howard Persinger, 62, of Calgary passed away unexpectedly at his vacation home in Courtenay, British Columbia. Leonard (Len) was born on January 11th, 1959 in Drumheller, Alberta to Howard and Eileen Persinger, growing up on their family farm near Munson, Alberta. His keen interests in horticulture, self-sufficiency, athletics, and cooking were certainly inspired during this time and beyond. He graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a diploma in Electrical Engineering, beginning his long and rewarding career working on projects across Canada, the USA and more recently Australia.
Len’s life is lovingly cherished by his wife Debbie, sons Mark (Lucille) and Erik, his parents Howard and Eileen and his sister Shelley (Vic). He will also be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, coworkers and their respective families.
A celebration of Len’s life will be held at the Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre on Monday, August 30th, 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated.

JEEVES
Ria

April 11, 1948 - August 9, 2021

Ria, age 73, passed away peacefully August 9, 2021. She was born April 11, 1948 in Holland to Hank & Rita. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1948 and settled in Calgary, Alberta. She married the love of her life Fred on August 14, 1965. They lived together, almost inseparable, for over 55 years.
Ria was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Gramma, and recently as a great-gramma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went.
Though Ria’s health was failing for years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses in Drumheller and Red Deer who provided invaluable care to Mom for many years.
Ria is survived by her husband Fred, her Mother-in-law Mary, her son Todd (Michelle), daughters Tara (Stuart), Colleen (Kim). Grandchildren Ryan (Dusti), Brad, Leanne, Tyler, Jessica (Scott), Connor, Eric & Hannah. Great-grandchildren Jude, Jersey & Ledger. And many cherished friends.
She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
We are respecting Ria’s wishes, there will be no service.
Friends and family will gather at a later date.
