GROSS
Beverley Irene

July 1, 1944 - July 4, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mom.
She was born in Stettler, Alberta on July 1, 1944 then passed away at home July 04, 2021.
Mom was raised by her father Alvin Nighswander and stepmother Rita.
She later in life married Leslie Gross and they had 6 children; Brent (Abby), Brenda, Bonnie (Bruce), Bobby (Anna-Marie) and Jeff. They also had a daughter Laura who passed away in 1977. Mom leaves behind several grandkids and great-grandkids.
She worked at a few different jobs in her career. She worked at the Napier Theatre, the Travel Lodge and finally at Super 8 where she retired.
We will remember her in healthier times. We will miss her laughter and our many visits at the table playing scrabble and drinking green tea. She was a great cook. We all knew that 5:00 sharp was supper time. Sunday supper was the meal nobody missed growing up.
She loved when the grandkids came to visit. Her house was always busy with kids coming and going. She loved collecting angels, candles and had many plants. She
definitely had a green thumb.
Mom had a few extra special friends who were so good to her; Penny, Elaine and Angela.
A special thanks to Jeff and his friend Katherine for taking such good care of Mom in her failing years and making sure she was okay.
Rest in Peace Mom. We love you and will miss you dearly.

KALBHEN
Linda Mary

July 9, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our strong wife, mother, sister, grandma, great-grandma, and friend to so many. Linda passed away at the age of 76 on July 9, 2021. Linda passed peacefully at Sagewood in Strathmore surrounded by her family.
Linda grew up in Cluny where she later met the love of her life, Bill Kalbhen. Bill and Linda married in Rockyford at St. Rita’s church, and shortly after started building
their life. Together they built the Kalbhen farm (Sturgeon River Ranch) just outside of Rockyford. They blessed each other with 5 children and celebrated 54 years of marriage together.
Some of Linda’s interests included, going on cruises and holidays, baking, shopping and visiting neighbours. Most importantly though, she loved spending time with
family. Linda never missed a family event and was known to never complain. Linda was one of the strongest persons we knew and would always be the first one to volunteer for events.
Linda is predeceased by her daughter Tanya. She is survived by her husband Bill, children Margo (Mike) Comstock, Warren (Tyla) Kalbhen, Stacey (Shawn)
Wilson and Erica Kalbhen. Grandchildren Amy, Brooke, Taneil, Toni, Billi, Jayse, Kadin, Matt, Joel, Mitchell, Meleah and Great-Grandchild Nash.
A funeral service for Linda will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at St Rita’s Catholic Church, Rockyford at 11:00 a.m.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society (#200, 325 Manning Rd. NE Calgary, AB T2E 2P5) or www.cancer.ca
