It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend Irwin Campbell, who passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Irwin was predeceased by his parents Jim and Ada Campbell and his three brothers Jim, Jack, and Richard. He is survived by his loving wife Anne, three children and spouses, Stuart (Mona), Heather (David), Laurie (Robert) and seven grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna, Ian, Michael, Jamie, Clayton, Jade.
Irwin was born July 30, 1933, in Rosedale, Alberta. Irwin graduated from the Drumheller Composite High School in 1952, where he met his high school sweetheart Anne Bellak from Midland and married in February 1957. Irwin received an Electrician Diploma from SAIT and worked and retired at the Hussar Compressor Station.
Irwin was a strong community member, serving as an Alderman, Legion Member, and a youth sports advocate. Irwin’s fun-loving nature made a difference in the lives of others and will be remembered for his humor, thoughtfulness, patience, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
Irwin’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all departments of the Drumheller Extended Care Unit for the exceptional care he was given. In addition, we are grateful for our loving friends for their heartfelt condolences and gestures. “Pain ends in the arms of an angel” and so we let you go.
Gordon was raised a farm boy in Carman, Manitoba the first of three children born to James and Grace Aiken.
Married in 1951 to Francis JOAN (Keith) together with four young children they moved to Alberta eventually making Drumheller home.
After 64 years of marriage JOAN passed, he was also predeceased by his son Eric, his brother Lawrence, sister Elma and his parents.
Gordon is survived by his children Barbara, Keith (Bev), Fawn (Don Nichol) and Carol.
As per Gordon’s request there will not be a formal service.

Condolences to the family of Eileen Louise Persinger

Eileen Louise Persinger passed away on January 14, 2022 at the age of 87. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Howard Persinger; daughter Shelley Loewen (Vic); daughter-in-law Debbie Persinger; brother Ed Coad and sister Jean McGhee; grandchildren Kevin (Stacey), Leanne (Joe), Heather (Keith), Amy (Drew), Mark (Lucille) and Erik; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in August 2021 by her son Leonard, brothers Stan and Lloyd and her sister Barbara.
Eileen was born on April 7, 1934 in Drumheller, AB. She was the fourth child of Robert and Bernice Coad. Eileen attended school in Munson, Drumheller and later went to Olds College, where she received a certificate in Home Economics. Her first job was with the ATB in Drumheller. Eileen met Howard at a dance on November 11, 1954. They were married on November 10, 1956. After following Howard around on road construction projects for 2 years, they took over the family farm in Munson in 1958. Leonard was born in 1959 and Shelley completed the family in 1960. While on the farm, Eileen developed a passion for gardening and growing flowers, a skill she took with her when they retired and moved to Drumheller in 1990. Howard and Eileen loved to golf with friends and family as often as possible. They also enjoyed many Hawaiian vacations together with friends and often travelled to Green Valley, Arizona to visit her brothers. They moved to Airdrie in 2015.
Eileen will be missed by many and will be remembered for her amazing cooking, love of her family, calm and pleasant demeanor and her beautiful flowers.
A service will be held at a later date.
