April 3, 1958 - June 17, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce Donna Schafer, age 64, passed away on June 17, 2022 at the Drumheller Hospital.
Donna is remembered by her daughter Silvie (grandson J.T.), daughter Tamara (grandchildren Xander, Zac and Ivy), son Jesse and daughter-in-law Ashley (grandsons Dameon and Colby), son Stephen and daughter-in-law Amie (granddaughters Scarlett and Lilith), son James and daughter-in-law Dominica (grandchildren Valontine and Ruby). She is also survived by her best friend Jerry Lake, four sisters and five brothers, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donna was predeceased by her husband Douglas Schafer and her parents Evo Defoor and Doris Vandale and her step-father Len Vandale.
Donna was a strong, kind, caring and loving woman who was loved by many. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandma.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Drumheller Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Donna.
We will be holding a Celebration of Donna’s Life at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

April 19, 1956 - June 15, 2022

Ray Telford of Camrose, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the age of 66 years after a long battle with a rare form of Dementia called
Frontotemporal Degeneration.
Ray was passionate about many things, but nothing more than his family. Some of his favorite memories include; camping with Kim, learning that Nicole
named his youngest grandchild after him, running the Vancouver marathon with Raymond Jr., hockey games and fishing with Calla, playing guitar and singing with Melissa, the many Starbucks trips with Jaedyn and playing ukulele with Spencer, his 40th birthday run with all of his brothers and the amazing trip to Jasper with The Flamingos.
Ray was a radio guy at heart. His career brought him to radio stations across Western Canada. He was a DJ and worked his way up to GM. His proudest accomplishment was opening Energy 98 FM in Fort St. John, BC.
Later in his career, Ray returned to university and became an Economic Development Officer. He then worked for the Town of Drumheller and finished his career with the City of Camrose.
Ray shared his passion for music and entertaining by being part of many bands and choirs throughout his life. Pitch & Spice, The Wayfairing Fiddlers, The Pirates of the Badlands, Augustana Mannskor Choir and most recently SingAble. His love of music has been passed on to his kids and grandkids.
Ray is lovingly remembered by his loving wife Kim; children Nicole Telford of Edmonton, Raymond Telford Jr. of Edmonton, Calla (Jason) Peacey of Camrose, and Melissa (Arturo) Marquez of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren Jaedyn and Spencer Peacey, Martin and Ezio Marquez, and Rae Telford; mother Adrienne of Beaumont; siblings Karen Telford-Stock of Beaumont, Kevin (Gemma) Telford of Beaumont, and Brian (Susan) Telford of St. Albert; and all of his life long friends, especially his “chosen brother” Carl Selzer.
Ray was predeceased by his father Raymond, and brother Randall.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church (3605 50 St, Camrose). The Mass will be livestreamed on the St. Francis Xavier website: https://stfxcamrose.caedm.ca/.
A recording of the Funeral Mass will be found on the St. Francis Xavier website under “Recorded Masses,” once made available by the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ray and his deep love and passion for music, singing, and song can be made to the Camrose Association for Community Living (CAFCL) SingAble multigenerational inclusion choir program. These funds will support undergraduate students with an interest in music & music therapy serving as SingAble assistants.

Earl Wilbur Stewart will be sadly missed by his loving family, wife Peggy; his children: Dana (Todd) Mandle and their children Melina (Nicolas) (Eowyn, James, Zakk and Bethany) Abraham, and Robert Mandle; Kevin (Delaine) Stewart and their children Amie (Adam) (Chayse and Zander) Staniowski, Andrew (Janet) (Hudson, Jodi, Kayli and Branson) Stewart, Aaron (Crystal) (Rilynn, Owen, Bentley and Liam) Stewart, Adam (Amy) (Isla and Troy) Stewart, and Anton Stewart; Eldon (Winnie) Stewart and their children Sonny (Cara) (Blair, Emery and Skylar) Stewart, Rick (Cassie) (Laine and Easton) Stewart and Lacey (Kyle) (Tyson, Levy and Remmi) Dyck; Murray (Bev) Stewart and their children Tyler (Claire) (Noah) Stewart, Bryce (Annie) Stewart and Kallie Stewart; stepson Keith (Pam) Worth and their children; sisters-in-law: Sharon (George) Munro, Muriel Anderson and Connie Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many dear friends and neighbours. Earl Wilbur Stewart was predeceased by his parents Earl and Viola Stewart; son Lee Earl Stewart; first wife Melva Stewart; sister Winifred Pogmore; half sisters: Elizabeth Reynolds, Margaret Keith, Ruth Larson, Faye Spencer and Jean Thulien; brothers-in-law: William Pogmore, David Anderson and Lloyd Anderson.

The Highlites That Were Important To Wilbur
• His Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
• FAMILY: wife Peggy; daughter Dana; sons: Kevin, Eldon and Murray; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
• Getting his Pilot’s License in 1984 and flying his Cessna 182 to Tuktoyaktuk.
• Hosting Ian Tyson concert in the Performing Art’s Centre for his 80th birthday and inviting his business associates, family and friends.
• His 90th birthday at the farm and receiving the Alberta Farm and Ranch Award for 100 years of Stewart ownership of the land.
• Overreaching his goal of ten combines with his sons and grandsons to operate them.
• In the Bible, number 7 represents completion; for Wilbur, completion was having three sons to carry on the Stewart legacy of farming and ranching.
Wilbur was laid to rest on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Byemoor Cemetery, Byemoor, Alberta. A celebration of Wilbur’s life was held Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Stettler Community Hall, Stettler, Alberta with Rev. Ross Helgeton officiating. Donations in memory of Wilbur are gratefully accepted to Samaritan’s Purse Canada, 20 Hopewell Way NE, Calgary, Alberta, T3J 5H5 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
