With heavy hearts the family of Patricia Brown announces her passing on Dec. 5 2022 at the age of 88 years.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband James Brown in 1997.
Patricia leaves to mourn her children Twyla (Joe) Eccleston, Arnold Brown, Bonny Brown, Sheila (Wayne) Bullen, Bruce (Teresa) Brown. 13 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grand-Children.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chetty and Dr. Mateer and the staff at Hillview Lodge for their excellent care of our mother over the past few years. A Celebration of life will be held in Spring 2023.

Vivian Bertsch, a long-time resident of Rosebud/Drumheller area went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 26th at the age of 83.
Vivian was born August 26th, 1939 at Winnipeg, Manitoba to Lawrence and Jessie Henschel. Vivian was raised in River Hills, Manitoba with her siblings Joyce, Wayne and Myron. Vivian came to Edmonton to attend CTI where she met the love of her life, Ronald Bertsch. They were married on June 25th, 1960 and they raised their family while farming at Rosebud. Ron and Viv retired to Drumheller in 2004.
Vivian is predeceased by her husband of almost 61 years, Ronald.
Vivian leaves to mourn, her children Dawn (Robert) Bancroft, Cameron (Deanne) Bertsch, Brent (Jennifer) Bertsch and Jason (Ashley) Bertsch; her grandchildren Renee (Brad) Storch, Brianne, Derek (Karen) Bancroft, Emily, Erin, Kiara, Tavia Bertsch and Trent Fredrickson and her great-grandchildren Eden and Autumn.
Vivian also leaves to mourn her sister, Joyce, her nieces and nephews from Manitoba, her in-laws, Llewelyn and Joyce Bertsch.
Vivian ran the Rosebud Post office with Ron for many years. She was an active part of the Zion Baptist Church and Drumheller Alliance Church. After raising the kids, Vivian worked at the Rosebud Dinner Theatre and then was an educational assistant for many years at the Hillview Hutterite colony. Vivian was the heart of the Bertsch home, always preparing home cooked meals, baking bread and sour cream raisin pie. She always had the coffee on and a lunch ready.
The family would like to thank Dr. Blackburn and the staff at the Drumheller Health Centre, for their care of mom these past few years.
A celebration of life will be held for both Vivian and Ronald Bertsch at the Rosebud Community Hall on Saturday, January 7th at 2pm.

August 20, 1935 - November 30, 2022

With the heaviest of hearts, the family of Robert Lefley announces his passing on November 30, 2022, he was 87. His beloved wife Adeline Charlotte Lefley predeceased him on May 10, 2012, at the age of 72. They were married for 51 years. Robert moved from the farm to Drumheller in 1940. He completed school in 1951. He then enrolled in the air force which he served until 1956. He worked the oil rigs from 1956-1960. Robert began employment as a prison guard at the Drumheller penitentiary in 1961 and worked there until 1970. He then moved his family to Calgary from Drumheller and worked for Canadian National Railways until he retired as a Yardmaster in 1995. Robert loved to garden and watch sports, especially when his grandchildren played hockey, volleyball and basketball. He is survived by his children, Laurie McIntosh (Gary), Tracie Nettle (Alex), Leanne Scott (Gerry). His grandchildren Jennifer, Nathan (Trish), Nina, Bria, Jordan, Quintin, McKenna and Olivia. Great-grandchildren Brylee, Alexza, Landon, Logan and Haylah, four sisters and many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by his parents, Cyrus and Mary Gaye and brothers Arthur and Tom, his sisters Vi, Beryl and Doris.
He will be greatly missed; may he rest in peace.
A special thank you to the staff at Tudor Manor and Dr. Hoggard for their care of Robert in his twilight years.
