Condolences to the family of Rose Marie Barbara Ebel (nee Suntjens)

 Obit Rose Urn

Rose passed away suddenly after a brief illness November 4, 2024, at the age of 67 years at the Drumheller Continuing Care Centre. Rose was born in Calgary, Alberta at the Grace Hospital on March 25, 1957. Shortly after she was adopted by Sibert and Elizabeth Suntjens and raised on the family farm northeast of Hanna, Alberta along with four brothers John, Richard, George, Walter and another adopted sister Arlene. Rose attended school in Spondin, Coronation and Youngstown. Rose loved to swim and was quite an avid swimmer, she also loved to ride horses and play with her cousins.
Rose married Allan Dahl who operated a plumbing business in Hanna and later on in Claresholm, they had a son David born May 2, 1978. The marriage failed and on February 27, 1999, Rose married Douglas Ebel and have been together for over 25 years together, although the last six years have physically been apart as Rose was confined to a wheelchair. Rose lived in the Drumheller Continuing Care Centre. Even though they were separated by an hour’s drive, Doug would travel from Hanna to Drumheller every Wednesday and Sunday; brunch at Yavis restaurant, shopping at Wal-Mart, hourly car rides around Drumheller, ferry rides, all she so enjoyed and looked forward to. Rose loved family gatherings at Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. She so loved to hold the new babies and watch all the young nieces and nephews.
Rose had her challenges but was accepted for who she was and how she was in life. She considered the Continuing Care Centre her home and when tired she would say, “take me home”.
Rose was predeceased by her first husband Allan, her sister Lucielle, father Sibert, mother Elizabeth, and sister-in-law Beverly.
Rose is survived by her son David, granddaughter Jena, husband Douglas, sister Arlene (Bill) Thuroo, brothers, Walter (Adeline), George (Mary Jane), Rick (Edith), John (Susan) and many nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Mass will be held November 16, 2024, at 1:30 P.M. at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church (Hanna, Alberta) with the interment to follow in the Hanna Cemetery.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Drumheller Continuing Care) or the charity of one’s choice in memory of Rose Marie.
Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.

Condolences to the family of Muriel Royce Gall

Obit Royce Gall

September 21, 1940 - October 25, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Royce Gall of Drumheller, AB, passed away on the 25th of October 2024 at the age of 84 years old after a lengthy battle with dementia.

She will be forever and lovingly remembered by her always attentive husband of 60 years, Charles Gall, along with their daughter, Tracy Becker and her children - Megan and Sarah, her son-in law Scott Bergmann and his daughters Pyper and Trinity. Her brothers Dale (Joan) and Wayne and nieces Patty, Crystal, Lisa and Carrie.
Royce was predeceased by two of her daughters Dana Gall and Harla Bergmann along with two of her brothers Bob Rowell and Eddy Rowell and nephew Brent Rowell.
Royce was a loving and loyal wife to her husband of 60 years Charles as well as an amazing and supportive mother and friend to her daughters Dana, Tracy and Harla and grandchildren Megan, Pyper, Sarah and Trinity.
Royce grew up in Morrin, Alberta, and upon graduating from High School, she moved to downtown Drumheller and worked at the Drumheller Hospital. Not long after Royce packed her bags and headed South. Once in Texas, she settled into a small town called Big Springs, Texas. There she met the Love of Her Life and soon after married Charles. Royce gave birth to their first daughter Dana in Texas in August of 1964 and then their 2nd daughter Tracy in 1966 in Pennsylvania. Shortly after they then moved to Calgary with their two girls and, in 1974, had their third daughter Harla. In the summer of 2022, Charles moved himself and Royce to Drumheller to be able to care for her better in a smaller house and be closer to her remaining brothers.
Royce worked as a lab assistant at the Calgary General Hospital for over 35 years. When not at work Royce could be found painting portraits, landscapes, rocks, automobiles and her fingernails. Royce was so artistic, she picked up stained glass, tiling, landscaping or whatever piqued her interest. Her favorite thing to do was anything with artistic decorating. Royce would never pass up the chance to completely tear down and redecorate a room when Charles would work out of town for a week. It got to the point where he would warn her beforehand to “not” spend money while he was gone.
Everyone who knew Royce remembers her for her love of animals. Dogs, cats, birds, and even a skunk.
Royce’s presence will be felt deep, we will never stop missing you.

LauraBronson

Born March 22, 1960

Laura Jane Bronson was born on March 22, 1960, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, to Roy and Lilly (Isaac) Bronson, the youngest of six children. At the age of 64, without saying goodbye, she left this life quietly and peacefully.
Laura had a joyful childhood and cherished her farm chores and pets. She attended school in Three Hills and Linden, Alberta, and was excited to complete her final year at Kneehill Christian School. She gave her heart to God and was baptized on May 16, 1982, by Minister Harvey K. Toews in Linden, Alberta.
Life was not easy for Laura, she faced many challenges and disappointments. And yet, there were moments when her sincere desire to serve God was evident. We now entrust her to our all-knowing, loving Father.
Laura was adventurous and loved staying busy. She was enthusiastic about Crokinole, enjoyed coffee time, and spent many hours crocheting and working on picture puzzles. Family and friends held a special place in her heart, and she took a genuine interest in their lives.
She is survived by her father, Roy Bronson of Linden, Alberta; her sisters, Carol & Menno Yoder of Mize, Mississippi; Virginia Bronson of Crooked Creek, Alberta; and Beulah & Merle Reimer of Bow Island, Alberta; her brother, Dave Bronson of Linden, Alberta; her dearly loved biological children, Emily, Rosie, and Ricky, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
