Condolences to the family of William (Bill) Charles Cole

October 16, 1952 – December 17, 2024


It is with a heavy heart to annouce the passing of William (Bill) Charles Cole on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 at the age of 72. He will be loving missed by his wife Patti and daughter Christy. Bill was predeceased by his father, Hubert; mother, Mary; sister, Janet; and son, Brandon.
Bill had a love of music, which he pursued with band members, The Amigos, traveling to different taverns all over Alberta.
I would like to thank the staff at Drumheller hospital, Colleen and Dr O and many others involved with the loving care and support provided to Bill and myself during his stay.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

October 27, 1928 - December 9, 2024

Jessie Anna Axelsen of Drumheller wife of the late Eric Axelsen passed away after a lengthy illness on December 9, 2024, at the Drumheller Health Centre at the age of 96 years.
Jessie was born October 27, 1928, to Evangeline and Benjamin Johnston, she was the youngest of five children. Jessie took her schooling in Rosedale, Alberta. She attended the University of Alberta obtaining her teaching certificate. Her first job was in Dalum, Alberta where she met and married her husband Eric. They spent 55 years together. They worked together farming until their retirement in 1993. Jessie and Eric loved to travel and spent their winters in Yuma. Jessie enjoyed curling, sewing, golf, square dancing, horseshoes and gardening.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband Eric in 2004, her parents Benjamin and Evangeline Johnston, her daughter Marilyn Nielsen, sisters Dorthy, Elizabeth, Jean and her brother Robert.
Jessie is survived by daughters Darlene, Dianne (Bob), Cheryl (Mario), son-in-law Paul, grandchildren Deanna, Orin, Clarke, Melissa, Nathan, Brent, Craig, Quentin, Ben, Jordan 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
There will be a private family graveside service in the spring 2025. Memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Continuing Care-Recreation Department), #351, 9th Street N.W., Drumheller, Alberta, T0J 0Y1.
Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
